Mosaic is a signature annual event that celebrates the professional arts organizations within the Greater New Braunfels Arts Council. This unique gathering highlights the breadth and diversity of our local arts scene, featuring performances and exhibitions from a wide range of artistic disciplines. Attendees are treated to a dynamic showcase of ballet, theater, music, and more, offering a rare opportunity to experience the high caliber of professional arts available in New Braunfels. Mosaic 2024 Recap
On April 11, 2024, the Greater New Braunfels Arts Council hosted the first-ever Mosaic at the historic Brauntex Performing Arts Theatre in downtown New Braunfels. This inaugural event brought together a vibrant celebration of the professional arts organizations within the council, offering a unique opportunity to experience the diverse creative talents that call New Braunfels home.
The evening began with a mingle for Arts Council members, setting the stage for an exciting night of performances. The showcase featured Ballet Texas, which presented three stunning pieces: a captivating scene from Pharaoh's Daughter, an excerpt from Romeo and Juliet, and a playful performance of A Crazy Little Thing Called Love. Next, Envivo Theatrical took the stage with a powerful scene from I’ll Eat You Last, giving the audience a taste of its dynamic theatrical storytelling. To close the evening, the Mid Texas Symphony enchanted the crowd with a beautiful musical excerpt, providing a perfect finale to a night of artistic excellence.
Mosaic also included a fundraiser raffle, with each of the featured organizations offering tickets to upcoming shows at the Brauntex Performing Arts Theatre. The raffle raised over $1,000, which will support future initiatives and programming for the Arts Council, ensuring continued growth and support for the local arts community.
The success of Mosaic 2024 marked a significant milestone for the Arts Council, celebrating the rich cultural landscape of New Braunfels and highlighting the importance of community engagement in the arts.
